Orlovich and Ivan halt the Turkish advance at Samograd and free all the children that the Turks had taken in the previous sack of the city. After the death of the invading Turks’ leader, Suleiman, his successor carries out a tremendous attack on Samograd during which Orlovich is killed. However, Ivan manages to lead the women and children to safety.
