A Roman priest celebrates mass in dialect against the order of the Vatican., then aided by an aristocratic woman, rebels against the orthodox Church and even dreams of founding a new political party, the woman has to withdraw under threat of blackmail and the priest is sent to Africa. Parody of the case of Monsignor Lefevre.
