Every year a scandal weekly uses an electronic brain to select a typical playboy. Due to a sensational error of selection, Peter Knoll is chosen as the Playboy of the Year, even thought he is merely an accountant and certainly not a fashionable type. But Peter is forced to travel all over the world and so give cause for his non-existent conquests. In the end he really becomes a womanizer but, after falling in love with a woman journalist, he goes back to being his simple self.
