A girl who is looking after a rich American woman’s property falls in love with a friend of the millionairess. The man assumes she is a social climber, but realises she is not when she rejects his proposal of marriage. After a series of misadventures due to a fiance who is jealous, but not really in love with her, the couple is able to get together.
