Love story between a Sicilian fisherman’s daughter and a young Saracen pirate. Their romance seems doomed from the start but ends happily; this is because, in actual fact, he is not a real Saracen but a Sicilian who, while still a child, had been kidnapped by the Arabs and then brought up to be a pirate (until reaching a high rank in the sultan’s navy).
